May 20, 2014,Huawei initiated to finish the first stage of China Mobile VoLTE infield test in the lab of The Research Institution of China Mobile in Beijing. Under the end-to-end environment, the whole test verified four important aspects including the basic network function of VoLTE, VoLTE value-addedbusiness, VoLTE business operation supporting system and docking ability of VoLTE third-party business platform. Huawei passed all the tests once only, providing China Mobile with the assistance of launching VoLTE with solid step.
The first stage of China Mobile VoLTE infield test aided by Huawei began in the beginning of April of 2014. Until May 23, Huawei is the first and the only vender who has completed first stage of VoLTE infield test. During the whole process, the eSRVCC test showed less than 230 ms time-delay from end to end, which indeed realized no word omission during the switch process; meanwhile, other supplementary scenario tests were also completed, such as audio/video switch and the voice continuity when customer is call waiting/keeping and locates somewhere only with 3G signal. .
During the testing process, Huawei has provided a mature and stable VoLTE network environment, assisting Qualcomm, Samsung and other leading technology and device manufactures to conduct device IOT tests, helping them to improve LTE device capacity rapidly, and accelerated the growth and maturity of VoLTE device industry chain.
Recently, Singtel and AT&T launched VoLTE in succession, and Huawei with Samsung supported PCCW-HKT to be the first operator which lanch VoLTE in Hong Kong .
Up to May of 2014, Huawei has won 23 VoLTE commercial contracts in the world and completed 4 VoLTE network deployments including PCCW-HKT.
