Summary: In MA5616 or MA5620 (equipped with an H825EPUB control board)
V800R312C00SPC201, a number fails to be dialed on some special types of phone sets.
Product Line: Access network Product Family: MxU
Product Model: MA5620 equipped with an H825EPUB control board and MA5616
Problem Description
Trigger Conditions
This issue occurs if the following conditions are met:
The version of the MA5616 or the MA5620 equipped with an H825EPUB control board is
V800R312C00SPC201.
The phone set is not standard, such as a PHILIPS HCD1888TSD series or Telifeng
HCD8618(12)TSDL
Symptom
In V800R312C00SPC201, dual tone multiple frequency (DTMF) dialing fails on some
types of phone sets.
Specifically, during the number dialing, the dial tone cannot be switched, or incorrect
digit or digit missing occurs.
Identification Method
This issue complies with the prewarning if either of the following conditions are met:
A number fails to dial after picking up the phone off the hook but can be dialed using
the hands free function.
A number fails to be dialed if each key is pressed for a short period of time or the redial
key is pressed after picking up the phone off the hook but can be dialed if each key is
pressed for a long period of time. However, the number dialing
is successful if the affected phone set connects to MxU V800R308.
Root Cause
During DTMF dialing on non-standard phone sets on live networks, the phone sets
experience a charging process. In this case, the impedance model of the phone sets
changes. Accordingly, the MxU must adapt to the impedance model
by changing port voltage to implement constant external current. However, this adaption
affects DTMF signal transmission. In V800R312C00SPC201, MxU parameter settings
change, which results in a longer charging process. As a result, this issue occurs on
the preceding special types of phone sets.
